Tiles, Pizza and the Renaissance!

Revisiting our old stomping ground ~ Firenza!

We recently had the incredible opportunity to join a group of talented architects, designers, and members of the press as part of the North American Delegation at Cersaie 2025—the world-renowned international exhibition of ceramic tile and bathroom furnishings.

The week was filled with inspiring exhibits, tours, thought-provoking lectures, and unforgettable cultural experiences in the beautiful city of Bologna. It was a privilege to connect with industry leaders from around the globe and to witness the latest innovations in materials, design, and sustainability.

A personal highlight: our team was honoured to once again present our award-winning project, "House in the Hill," as part of the Ceramics of Italy Tile Competition, alongside other exceptional projects from across North America. To see our work celebrated on this international stage was both humbling and energizing.

We also had a chance to visit our old stomping grounds of Firenza, where we both studied architecture together for a term at university. Taking in the wonders of this beautiful Renaissance city together once again, and even re-visiting the old gorgeous villa we lived in with its amazing views of the city’s impressive Duomo was a real thrill.

Grazie mille to Ceramics of Italy, Novità PR, and Italian Trade Agency for the invitation and hospitality—and to all the inspiring professionals we met throughout the week..
